A Medical Program For Those In Need!
In 1967, Nevada implemented a federal and state funded medical program called Medicaid with the passage of Title XIX of the Social Security Act.
The purpose of this program is to purchase medically necessary health care and related services to Medicaid eligible persons.
How do you Apply?
If you feel that your income and assets fall within the Medicaid guidelines, you need to apply for Nevada Medicaid. To apply you must contact the nearest Nevada State Welfare District Office in your area.

Health Access Washoe County in Reno and University Medical Center in Las Vegas have Medicaid eligibility workers onsite.
Once the application is submitted, a decision is made within 45 days from the date of the application.
